How it works
Photograph the page
Tap Scan a Quote, photograph the page and tap the sentence you want. Volumes reads the text on your device and saves it with its book and page number, without typing out a paragraph with your thumbs. Or Type a Quote, or share highlighted text from another app to Volumes.
Share it as a card
Share a quote as a card in the colours of its book's cover, save it to Photos, or copy it with the book's title and author.
A quote on your Home Screen
Add the quote widget to your Home Screen or Lock Screen, or let it sit beside your bed in StandBy. You can also tell Siri “Keep a quote in Volumes”.
Notes you can lock
Add your own notes to a quote. Turn on Lock Your Notes in Settings to keep them behind Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.

Good to know
Is the text in my photos read on a server?
No. Reading the text on a photographed page happens on your device and sends nothing anywhere.
Can I save quotes from books I don't own?
Yes. Save quotes from a borrowed book, and they stay with you after you give it back.
